                         Medicare rebates are available if you are eligible for a Mental Health Treatment.     

 Please ask for a written referral & Mental Health Treatment Plan from your GP.

                   Medicare will rebate $87.25 for each individual session up to 10 sessions per calendar year 

   ​

 

                                                          Standard counselling sessions are 60 minutes

         Local home visiting counselling sessions are also available in certain circumstances. 

                                        e.g. Disability, Aged Care facility etc.       Fee $190 - rebate = 112.40

              Fees are payable in full on the day of consultation by EFTPOS, Debit or Credit Card

              Fees can also be paid prior to your appointment by Bank Transfer. 

              Included in the fee, for your convenience Medicare rebates can be refunded directly into your bank account.

              

                                                           Private Fees (no referral needed)

             

              You may qualify for health insurance rebates for the following insurers.

         HCF, BUPA, TEACHERS HEALTH, MEDIBANK PRIVATE.  please check your insurance cover for eligibility.

​​             ​                According to Medicare guidelines, registered providers may charge professional fees at

their personal discretion.

           Current Australian Association of Social Workers' recommended rate for Individual therapy

           is $240.00 for a 50–60-minute session. 

           

                    At Hill Top Centre the fees are well below industry standards to assure affordability for those in

need of mental health counselling.

     Session fees include; applying for your Medicare rebate, psychoeducational materials, support letters,

liaison with referring practitioners, or external agencies, at no extra cost to you.
